Job Description for Connections Pastor
New Hope Community Church in Bryan, Ohio is searching for a “Connections Pastor” to oversee its overall assimilation and discipleship process as part of helping people take their next step toward Christ together. As an integral part of the leadership team, the person selected for this position will have primary responsibilities in areas related to: (1) teaching/coordinating the church’s assimilation/discipleship process; (2) supervising student ministries as well as teaching and leading the high school student ministry area; (3) recruiting and equipping lay leaders and volunteers in first impressions ministry areas; and (4) coordinating all-church thematic emphases.
The “Connections Pastor” will also share significant teaching responsibilities with the Lead Pastor, preaching approximately 10-15 weekends per year. Potential to serve as an Elder and member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) will be among the leadership qualities desired to be evidenced by the person selected for this position.
