Job Description for Pastor
Our pastor has resigned, and we are looking for God’s man to fill the office of pastor/teacher and to work with the rest of the Leadership to lead the church. We are a very conservative, family-oriented church in Woodland WA.
Our attendance runs about 73 for Sunday morning worship. Of those regular attendees, 32 are less than 18 years of age, 32 adults and about 9 are over 60. We have a nice large sanctuary (seats ~350), fellowship hall (~350) and parsonage. We are debt free and God has continually provided funds to be able to support a full time pastor plus give 20% of the budget to missions. Our annual budget runs ~80,000.
We are independent - not affiliated with any Denomination.
We are non-charismatic.
The majority of our children are home-schooled.
We are Pre-Mill (non-negotiable), Pre -Trib (debatable).
The Bible is our "Rule of Faith and Practice".
Our "Goal" is not church growth.
Our desires are, to rightly dividing the word of truth, to grow spiritually, to become more Christ-like, to train up our children in the "nurture and admonition of the Lord", to be a witness in the community in word and deed, and if God "adds to our number" that’s GREAT!
Woodland has a population of about 5,000 with about another 7,000
in the surrounding area. We are one of the fastest growing areas in the
state. Woodland is on I-5, about 20 miles north of Vancouver.
