Job Description for Senior Pastor
Renaissance Church is currently accepting applications for its full time Senior Pastor position. We are a non-denominational congregation affiliated with the CB Southern California association, located in Corona, California. The Church prefers someone with 5 to 7 years in active senior pastoral ministries, with some preaching experience. The completion of Seminary is preferred, but not required. The successful candidate must be able to:
• Stimulate growth in spiritual maturity in the congregation through a well balanced program of preaching and teaching from Scripture, both in the pulpit, and in direct one-on-one contact;
• Provide necessary counsel to help and care for members of the congregation seeking Godly advice;
• Hold true to the Mission of the Church, and incorporate his vision from God as to how the Church’s Mission will be carried out;
• Must demonstrate his commitment to worship in all aspects of his church life, and one who consistently seeks the Holy Spirit for guidance and direction in all that he does;
• Work with the Eldership Board to ascertain the congregation is properly nurtured and protected, as defined for us in Scripture;
• Demonstrate his commitment to prayer in all things relevant to the Church and his personal life;
• Establish a program of evangelism and outreach for both local and world-wide missions fields;
• Perform administrative tasks to properly oversee and guide all activities of the Church, including mentoring staff and lay personnel; equipping them to successfully accomplish the Lord’s work.
