Job Description for Worship Ministries Director
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and execute meaningful weekly worship services as well as for special occasions, eg. Thanksgiving, Easter, Christmas etc.
Incorporate the use of current trends in worship (drama, creative movement, etc.) to keep our worship services fresh, meaningful and dynamic
Develop, mentor, and grow current worship leaders/band(s) with a variety of styles
Direct the weekly worship team rehearsals and encourage high levels of spiritual commitment and music excellence among all participants in this ministry
Create and foster a team environment and sense of unity among team members
Attend worship seminars, conferences and seek educational opportunities where possible
QUALIFICATIONS:
Post-Secondary education in music ministry or worship arts preferred
Knowledge and acceptance of Salvation Army doctrines & Practices
Good organizer/planner – detail oriented
Passion for meaningful worship -- Has ability to lead worship both vocally and instrumentally
Team Player – can work with others to develop strong worship teams
Demonstrated skills using technology to enhance worship
